About the Job
Shreveport Limousine & Bus Company is hiring a dependable, detail-oriented professional to manage the condition, safety, and readiness of our company fleet.

This role is focused on managing the day-to-day mechanical condition of vehicles, ensuring maintenance is handled properly, and keeping the fleet operating at a high standard. You will work directly with our in-house technician and use established systems and processes to keep everything organized and running smoothly.

Our systems, shop, and structure are already in place. Your responsibility is to manage them effectively and keep the fleet performing at a high level. This is a hands-on, accountability-driven role. You will be expected to identify issues early, communicate clearly, and ensure problems are handled before they impact operations.

You will be responsible for a mid-sized, professionally maintained fleet of late model buses, SUVs, sedans, and specialty vehicles that operate daily in a structured environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor fleet condition daily and identify vehicles requiring maintenance or repair.
  • Coordinate directly with the in-house technician to prioritize and complete repairs.
  • Manage and follow preventative maintenance schedules to reduce downtime.
  • Ensure all vehicles are safe, clean, properly equipped, and ready for service each day.
  • Research parts, pricing, and repair solutions as needed.
  • Coordinate outside vendors when necessary and ensure the quality of work performed.
  • Track and document maintenance, repairs, and fleet status using company systems.
  • Conduct routine inspections to verify the safety and mechanical condition of all vehicles.
  • Respond to driver-reported issues quickly and ensure resolution.
  • Maintain organized, accurate records for maintenance and compliance.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in a mechanical, fleet, or service-related role.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicles, including diesel and gas systems.
  • Proven experience managing maintenance, preventative maintenance, and repairs.
  • Ability to diagnose issues, research parts, and understand repair requirements.
  • Experience working with large vehicles, buses, or fleet operations preferred.
  • Comfortable using software systems to track maintenance and fleet activity.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities without constant supervision.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work well with technicians, drivers, and team members.

What We Expect:
  • Management of the fleet and keeping it operating at a high standard.
  • You stay ahead of problems, communicate clearly, and ensure vehicles are safe and ready every day.
  • You use the systems in place and your own experience to keep things running without disruption.

What We Offer:
  • Competitive pay, based on experience.
  • Bonus opportunities based on performance.
  • Health insurance.
  • Retirement plan options.
  • Paid time off.
  • Stable, growing company with consistent work.
  • Professional, team-oriented work environment.
